Le e-Bike are means that differ in no small way from a Traditional Mtb and therefore there are many factors to consider when buying an e-bike.
Double suspension
Speaking of e-bikes, rear suspension is useful for those who use this means of transport on the same trails and in the same contexts as with a traditional mountain bike. Therefore, experienced bikers are advised to use dual suspension if they want to use the e-bike in a demanding manner.
It is also recommended for those with little experience who are interested in trying these vehicles not only on dirt roads, but also on single tracks.
Hardtail
If your goal is an e-bike that is as light as possible, agile and possibly also usable as an urban means of transport, the front suspension alone is sufficient.
Le e-bike hardtail are also good off-road, but they may not allow the speed and riding confidence of a full-size.
Rubber Plus or Standard
A Rubber Plus allows the following advantages: improved impact absorption, increased riding confidence on rocky terrain, and greater grip both uphill and downhill.
Disadvantages? The tyre, being larger, is heavier and this slows down changes of direction when riding, grip on wet-muddy surfaces is not at its best and to reduce the risk of punctures the tyres must be of high quality and tubeless.
With standard tyres the riding of an e-bike is closer to that of a traditional mountain bike and the ride is greatly affected.
First and foremost, the lightness compared to Plus tyres, the almost limitless availability of tyres, compounds, treads and sizes, and the driving feeling is only altered by the presence and weight of the motor + battery, provided, however, that you choose top-notch tyres.
